The number 9 has special significance to the Chinese Royalty, only members of the Royal family were allowed to use that number incorporated into anything they owned. At the Forbidden City in Beijing, for example, you can see rows of 9 bolts in the massive doors of the compounds. This one measures about 6 inches in diameter. |
